Jakarta- The Ministry of Human Rights (KemenHAM) has urged law enforcement authorities to expedite the handling of a report concerning a child with the initial G who has been separated from his mother for three years.

Expert Staff to the Minister of Human Rights, Martinus Gabriel Goa, stated that accelerated handling is crucial to support search and protection efforts for the child as a vulnerable group.

"We hope the National Police can be a trigger to process public reports quickly. Don't let it be no viral no justice, only move when it goes viral," Martinus told RRI at the Ministry of Human Rights Office, South Jakarta, Wednesday (10/14/2026).

According to him, law enforcement is an essential part of fulfilling human rights, especially in ensuring child protection.

Martinus called on the public who knows the whereabouts of child G to immediately report information to the family or the Ministry of Human Rights

"If the public knows the whereabouts of this child, we hope information will be immediately conveyed to his mother or KemenHAM. So that the child can be found, helped, and get the protection needed," he said.

He emphasized that every Indonesian child has the right to attention and protection from both family and the state, prioritizing the best interests of the child.

"Our priority is to respect human dignity and fulfill the human rights of Indonesian children wherever they are. We also encourage law enforcement to ensure justice for every child in need of protection," Martinus stressed.
